Roller Blading, Always an Adventure
Now, for those of you who don't roller blade. Breaking isn't always the easiest thing to do, nor is it always very effective. So my solution to this little problem was to go down the hill in a zig zag formation. Coming off of the path onto the grass to slow me down as I go. First zig. Went great. Second Zig. Not as smooth, but I go ahead with the next Zag. This one I failed miserably at. Suddenly I am on my ass, sliding down the hill. So I scream, of course! and when I finally come to a stop, I realize that my ass is pretty cold. So I put my had back there to see if I still have one. To my surprise, I had ripped the ass out of my jeans!!!! And when I say ripped the ass out of, I really mean it! I had split it down the middle seam on both sides! So I call Darin to come back and get me because we now have to go home. After he laughs at me, and makes me get up to see how bad it really is, he tries to convince me that it's not that bad, and that no one on the trail will notice. Ummm... Yeah right! I have a big ole white ass hanging out of my pants. I think that's noticeable from anywhere! So after a little bit of a squabble, Darin finally takes off his shirt so I can wrap it around my ass, and we roller blade home.
Today, my right ankle and wrist are sore, and so is my ass. My spirit is broken. I no longer want to roller blade around the lake. :(

Weird Place of No Relate
Anther one of my twenty something friends who is freshly married has gone down the childless drain too. Which leave me to wonder, do I really just need to get on with it and get it out of the way before I really am too old?
This is actually a weird time in my life. (Which I'm guessing is probably the REAL reason why I'm starting to over think this part of it.) I'm still fairly young, and I either have single friends that are doing everyone in site, or married friends that are squeezing kids out left and right. I have no one to relate to because no one is just happy being young and married w/o kids! What is this world coming to??? There is absolutely nothing wrong with being married without kids. And what if I just happen to be one of those women that NEVER wants to have kids?
You people that call yourself my friends will just have to accept this if that turns out to be the case. (Read my blog from July on a similar topic if you must :) You all have your own flaws, so don't make me point them out in an attempt to make myself feel better about this! :o)

I'm Fat
For a while I was walking, so at least I was maintaining my weight. But I have been so exhausted after work, or too busy, that I haven't really stayed up on it. Today, I put on a silk shirt that I used to love, and my fat rolls were so big, it was no longer flattering! Eeek! So, as of today, I'm back on phase 1 of the SB diet. No fun food for me! I have to lose 30 pounds, and I'm going to do it the old fashioned way. Just don't eat! No food, and when I do eat food, I should purge it!
