I know at least one of you are! ha!
Well, I completed the whole colon cleanse bottle without any "incidents" (AKA running to the potty in a mad dash). It actually does make you feel better. I've got a little more pep in my step. Even though, don't count today, because I'm totally exhausted from my weekend.

Bret Michaels
I'm about to write a post that my friend Brenda is going to get very hot blooded about. Mostly out of jealousy, because she would have loved this last concert that I went to. So sorry Brenda, if you're already upset today, maybe you should read this later. he he he.
For everyone else, Guess what I did on Friday night!?!?!?!? I went to see Bret Michaels, Rock of Love Concert! Yeah baby! He was playing at the local casino, which the guys at my office likened to one step below State Fair. ha! Yeah, I have to agree. It sort of is. But anyway. My cousin, sister-in-laws and two of their friends all went out and had a great time. It was a much better time then I was expecting actually.
Highlights.
1. Bret is much better looking in person. I'm not one of those people who thinks he's mega hot or anything. (He's a little too botoxed for my liking these days. Checkout the picture above.) But I did think he was MUCH better looking in person, and looked taller and thinner then he does on Rock of Love.
2. He sang a lot of the old Poison songs. We all rocked out and had a blast.
3. We discovered that no one was kicking people out of the front, so we headed up to the front of the stage where we got our rock on some more, and bonded with other drunk bitches.
4. Everyone, men and women had a great time singing along and being "old-school".
5. He announced that he was coming back next year with Warrant and Def Leopard. (Oh yeah, I'm totally there.)
6. It was like I was back in middle school. All over again, when Brenda was going to Warrant and the Nelson Brothers concerts and getting her pants signed while I was stuck at home.
Low lights.
1. The beer line was messed up. People stood in line for most of the concert. When we got to the front of the line, we bought three six packs. Tee hee. People behind us were pissed, but whatever. Don't worry, that was only 3 beers a piece. We weren't a bunch of lushes.
2. That had to be one of the worst openings I've ever seen! Yep. I said it. Here's how it went down. His body guard comes up and pumps us up. He then says the magic words, "Are you ready to rock! Here's Bret Micheals!!! AAAAHHHHHHH! The crowd goes wild, the music starts, the lights dim, the stage lights up. AAAAHHHH!!! Guns and Roses starts playing. Welcome to the Jungle. Umm.... no Bret. The song played in its entirety before the band made it to the stage. Welcome to the Jungle is a pretty long song. We were all sitting down and standing there like "WTF?" So when he finally did come out, our cheers were somewhat lackluster. Ummm.. Yeah. Worst opening ever.
3. Did I mention the beer situation?
4. There was only one old man selling the shirts at the end of the show, so it took FOREVER for us to get a shirt. Even though I got to watch some stupid bitch pay $500 for his sweaty tank top, and another $500 for the hat he wore during the concert. I bet she regretted that the next day.
We had so much fun though. We were sad when the concert was over. But that didn't stop us from moving to the bar and having way too many frosty beverages.
I've decided. When the Warrant, Def Leopard, Poison tour starts, I'm finding one somewhere where Brenda and I can meet half way and go get our 80's on. I would have been a lot more fun with her there. I remember on her bachelorette party night, she lost her voice because it just so happened that the club we went to was playing 80's rock all night long and she was singing along all night long. Her future hubby was pissed when she had no voice to recite her vows with. tee hee hee.
Here are some pics. They are from my camera phone, so they pretty much suck. My cousin got some great ones. I can't wait for her to forward them to me to post.

Hot Naked Men
Yep. You heard me. HOT NAKED MEN. My how I love them so...
For an early birthday treat, my SILs, my cousin and I all headed out to the local casino to see some hot man action. They were called American Storm, and claimed to be the top "man show" act in Vegas. Honestly, I find that hard to believe, but maybe...
It was a lot of fun. My two SILs were a little worried before the show started, but once they got past the first guys act, they loosened up and felt some relief. Even though, they did tense up whenever the guy would jump off stage and go looking for a girl to molest in the audience. They brought several girls up on stage and we were all worried that one of us would get picked. I didn't care too much, because obviously, any reason I get to put my hands all over some hot-rock-hard-ab man, I'm totally going to take it, but I guess some girls are a little more modest than I am. (Imagine that.)
DJ's sister got a lap dance from one of them. He ran her hands down his chest. She didn't really know what to do. Then she said she didn't know what to do with all the oil on her hands, so she just rubbed it in... ha!
I couldn't really get into that guy though because he had a strong resemblance to my friend Kai. No offense to Kai, but he's beaten into my head how nasty he thinks girls are a little too much. (ummm.. did I mention his gayness?) So seeing a guy that looked like my gay friend, taking his cloths off, sort of worried me. All that being said, I sure hope my friend Kai looks like this guy did with no clothes on!
The announcer/stripper came up to me because it was my birthday and talked to me for a while. (OK. I was a little relieved that I didn't get pulled up on stage.) Then, one of the other guys came over later and slimmed me up with all his body oil and gave me a kiss. (On the cheek. Don't freak out.)
Afterwards we headed to the lounge for a free drink. Some of the strippers showed up there afterwards, so that was fun to watch all the drunken girls fall all over them. As if these strippers are really going to have a relationship with any fat girl from Fargo. Seriously.
The announcer/stripper guy gave me his business card. He works at Tao as one of their VIP Marketers. So if anyone wants free tickets to a "Man Show" let me know and I'll give the dude a call! I was a little sad that the guy had a real job on top of stripping. I would have much rather have enjoyed thinking of him as just a piece of meat. But oh well, now I have free show tickets next time I'm in Vegas! Who's gonna meet me there next time?

Ghetto No More
Last weekend I bit into a stupid Sugar Baby candy, and only because I wanted some chocolate candy, but we had none, so I settled for crappy Sugar Babies. (I didn't even enjoy them.) When I was done sucking the caramel (or whatever the hell those things are made of) off my teeth, I realized that my filling on my back moler was no longer there.
Backstory. When I was in college, I got a toothache. I had no insurance, nor did I have money. So it got worse, until I couldn't stand the hurt anymore and I finally went in and got it fixed. By that time, my dentist basically dug out a lot of my tooth, and my filling was deemed "a big filling". Of course, to my toungue it felt like 1/2 my tooth was missing, but I guess it wasn't completely accurate.
Back to the present. I go in and my new fancy dentist that has all the fancy smanshy technology toys, tells me, "you have a big filling". Then tells me that only part of the filling fell out. So then she desides to give me a $987 porcelain crown. HOLY SHIT! I seriously considered just remaining ghetto, or just pulling the thing out and calling it a day. Who looks that far back into your mouth anyway? My insurance only covered 1/2 the bill. So I'm broke. Again. And I still have to go buy groceries, pay the mortgage, and whatever other bills just came in the mail. My husband better frickin' bring in some money from harvest soon, because I'm tired of being the main bread winner.
But at least I have a pretty new shiny crown to feel with my tongue while I sit here and write out checks. :0)

Random Stuff
I figured I had better post something here while the baby is asleep. I've been so busy, that I can't even think of something worthy of being posted.
I guess I can start with the fact that I've lost thirty-pounds of baby weight. I have 10 more to go to get back to my Weight Watcher's loss weight. I guess I should be excited, but I've seen my naked post baby body, and boys and girls, it ain't pretty. I wont get into any details because it just depresses me. It's been too cold for me to go on walks with the baby, so I've been stuck in the house. I do wonder why with all the bending over, rocking and twisting that I've been doing, that my stomach and abs haven't gotten any tighter. You'd totally think that movement alone would help.
Let's talk about this whole, "Breast feeding burns 500 calories." I've decided that this is a lie. What really happens is, it takes so long to actually breast feed your baby, that instead of munching on some sort of food that could make you fat, you're trapped in a chair with a baby on your boob. So basically, breastfeeding prevents you from eating - therefore, that is how you lose 500 calories.
OK. On to something so much more exciting! Sex and the City! Who's excited?! I am! I am! I've decided that my SILs and I are going to go see it. Probably not on opening night, but maybe on Monday or Tuesday. I have it all planned. He husband can come up with the baby and babysit with my husband and the baby. That way we can have a girls night out! I'm excited about it! The only thing is that there is only one theatre in this town, so I have to see if they are even getting the movie on opening day.

Happy 700th Post to Me!
Actually, it's more because I on occasion delete old posts, but hey! I'm at 700 today anyway! Let's party!
Weekend Update
Anything fun happy with you people's normal families? My in-laws aren't so bad. But they can be weird on many occasions. I've decided not to blog about the majority of what happend this weekend. But if you want an email version, just let me know.
However, I will blog about this. Are you wondering if I got that stroller from my MIL? Basically, yes but no. She bought one, but not THE one. So at least that's half good right? Even though, it's more annoying to me, because that stupid box is really heavy for my fat self, and now I have to drag it into frickin' target, return it, and then go home and order it from the website or go to Burlington and get it from the store there, and then have a $200 credit at Target.
All that hassel would be fine by me too, but then she kept telling me how it didn't show up on my registry. She showed me the pages she printed out and want to know the date? 2/17/08. Six days after I registered. Like I have been frickin' saying all along. I didn't put the stroller on either registry until about a week or week and a half after we registered in the stores. That's what I told her when I saw the date of her print out too. Then, she kept telling me how it wasn't on the print out at the store either. Hmmm..... Maybe becasue if you went shopping that early, it wasn't on there! Just like we told you the VERY day we told you we had registered that it wasn't on there yet becasue we didn't know if she just wanted to give us money for what she wanted to spend and yadda yadda yadda. The woman does not fricken listen.
I also told her I had my friends check for it, and they had no problem finding it. I did this just to rub it in I guess. Plus it was the end of the day, and I was tired of her. (You'll know why if you request my emailed version of the weekend.)
Then my SIL with the 6 month old, (because she is sick of the BS too) says to me, "What is the difference with the one you wanted?" So then I got to say OUT LOUD all the great things DJ and I got with the one we picked out." Then my SIL asked me about the colors of the one we wanted. I said, "sort of a sage and pink color. One that would look good for a boy and a girl". Then my MIL says, "well this one is sage...." pointing to the picture on the box. So then I had to point out that "that's just a picture. The actual colors are right here (pointing to the color swatch squares on the box), which are hunter green checks! Totally a boy looking stroller.
Then, stupid me. Forgot the gift receipt at the house in town, so now I can't return it until we head back to town. Which won't be for another couple of months. I checked with the store today if I could just return it without a receipt because I was just going to order the one I wanted online. They told me no because they only return items under $20 without a receipt. Target sucks! Sucks my arsehole! (No offense to my friends that work at Target HQs.)

Girls Weekend Complete
Guess what? I actually did have a great weekend as I suspected! Despite the crappy snowy weather, my girlfriends came up to see me. Only one person crapped out, and that was my SIL. She was feeling guilty for having to ask either mother figure to watch the baby again. Basically she's had so many baby problems, that she can't take him to daycare for a while, so she's been "tapping the resources" in order for her to go to work. Even though she had plenty of people telling her to come up, she still decided to stay home. So, boooooo! Actually, I won't give her much crap about it, because I don't know how I'd feel if that were me. But she still should have gotten out.
Anyway. Charlotte, Jordan and Sara all came up from the cities, and DJ's sister came up too. We headed off to the Olive Garden for dinner an then to a comedy club. So pretty low key weekend for us, but it was still loads of fun! They came Bering cake and gifts. So you know, it was especially fun for me. :o)
While at the comedy club Charlotte and I were singled out (thanks to Jordan and Sara) for being pregnant at the same time. The line of comedy went sort of like, "Do you do everything together?" "I sure hope the father isn't the same for both babies". I was pretty funny. I was actually pretty embarrassed and was relieved when he decided to pick on Charlotte a lot more than picking on me. :o) Later by a second comedian we were singled out for being a table full of cute girls. So that was nice. I think we must be loud laughers because it seemed like they kept looking over at us and stuff. We're a fun bunch though, so I'm sure they just wished they could hang out with us. ha!
I was sad to see the weekend end so soon. Sigh.... And then I had to return to work this morning where all I did was sit in one meeting after another thinking of all the things I want to accomplish before I squeeze this child from my loins. What does the ticker say up there? Yikes!

Best Weekend Ever!
OK. So it may not turn out to be the best weekend "EVER", but it's going to be a pretty awesome weekend for me. I've got 3 of my favorite gal pals coming UP to see me, and my two SILs are also going to come up. I think it's going to be a blast!
DJ has left the building. Which is actually sort of depressing for me. He's headed to the big W straight from work when he gets off at 6:00am. So I don't get to see him all day tomorrow. :( sniff sniff.
So when the girls get here, it will literally be a girls weekend. I'm totally excited!

Lonely Weekend
My husband drove off toward the great wide north this weekend to see his buddy from college. Those of you who were at my wedding, might remember him as the loud whooping cowboy on the dance floor for most of the night. Although he wasn't from Texas, he definitely fit in quite well. That's for sure.
He called me when he got there, and I haven't heard from him since. I called him last night at midnight when I got home from an office party. Then I tried to call him again around noon today. Either he's so far off in Boony-land and his phone doesn't work, he's laying waisted in a ditch somewhere, he's sitting in a strip club driving us into bankruptcy, or maybe just not returning my calls. Either way. I'm feeling a little unloved. I'm also starting to wonder if I should have sent him off with a list of rules. His wife does sort of resemble a walrus right now - Minus the mustache.
I should also have checked to make sure his wedding ring was on, and that he had a picture of me when I looked hot. Or a lot better than I do right now anyway.
But I'm passing the time by sleeping, scrap booking and sleeping a little bit more. Oh, and going to the bathroom a lot. I managed to fight two Uhaul wardrobe boxes into my little car too, so I've got one closet packed up, and about 1/8 of the other one. Maybe I'll got fight with two more boxes tomorrow and get some more stuff boxed up. If I can't wear it until June/July or later, I might as well get it out of my sight.

Weekend Update
So how is everybody doing? What would you like me to talk about first? Would you like to hear first? The latest of antics about my sister, or would you like to hear the latest of antics of my MIL? You're going to hear both really, so I guess I'll pick. We'll go with the sister. I really should start a list. Well... I guess I sort of have one. I did a quick search, and put them all under one tag Here's the latest addition to the list.
I received my sister's "Christmas card". (Some of you may have received it, because of course, she's trying to make my friends her friends, so she can make them think she's "super great!".) Anyway. She dressed her dumb dogs up as hot dogs, and made her boyfriend dress up as a mustard bottle while she was ketchup. The picture is totally hilarious. I'm sure she thinks it's very serious and cute, but I think it's frickin' HILARIOUS!!!!! For so many reasons.... But anyway, that's not the complaint. Everyone can do their own stupid thing with their cards. I'm sure people think mine are stupid as well. But what bothered me, is my super "worried about identity theft" sister (So much so that she used to shred her junk mail for fear that someone might get some info on her. She may still do this.) has started her own blog. Can you guess which blog engine she's using? Could it be Blogger??? Could it also be a blog that was started shortly after I sent out an email to my family and friends about my public family site???
She had emailed me and asked me about what blogger was, and I stupidly fell into the trap of telling her it was part of Google's web packages where you could do tons of stuff with one account including RSS readers, and all that crap. So foolish of me. I didn't have my guard up. For now on, I will have to ignore her emails until I can have time enough to think about what the devious plan is.
Now, you may be thinking. "KB, you're so silly. What's the big deal. Many of your friends have started blogs after finding out about yours. It's no different than that." Well... If that's your thought, then let me point out that this is the same sister that whenever she sees what my hair looks like, she switches her hairstyle. And let me also reiterate about how she won't buy anything online because she doesn't want anyone to steal her identity, but has no problems making her boyfriend, my father, or anyone else she can sucker into doing it for her. Which reminds me of the time she called me up and wanted to take out a $5000 loan in my name because she didn't want it on her credit. But it was totally fine for it to be on mine. Whatever.
It's nothing that I'm losing sleep over, but it's just another one of those things to kick me back into reality about how she still hasn't changed or grown up. I'm a thousand miles away from her, and my blog, is about the first glimpse into my life that she's seen in two years. I'm so not going to give the link to said blog, because it's just all about her three stupid dogs, but here is what she says in the intro. "This blog is dedicated to my three beautiful pups, Scout, Bandit, and Daisy. In the photo below, Bandit is the smiling dog on the left, Scout is smiling dog on the right, and Daisy is the cutie in the middle with the happy grin and longer, fluffier hair. I would also like to thank my boyfriend, Dan, for being such a big part of our lives and for encouraging me to set up this blog!" Ummm... What about "Thanks to my sister, whom I keep trying to be by trying to do everything she does at every chance I get. If only she'd let me in more, so I could be more like her." Oh, and here is more. "... please be mindful that, since this blog is being set up in website format, that any and all comments posted to this blog are public and available for the entire internet using community to see. Please use caution and respect when mentioning other people and, if at all possible, please refrain from using last names. You do not have to be a blog subscriber to post a comment. If you are not a blog subscriber, simply sign in as anonymous and post your comment. But please! As my sister so carefully points out on her blog, if you do comment using anonymous, please be sure and sign your first name or initials at the end of the comment so that Dan and I know who the heck you are!" Hmm... doesn't that sound almost exactly like this "...Currently, you don't need to be a blogger subscriber to make a comment. All you have to do to comment, is sign in as anonymous. But please! If you do comment using anonymous, please sign your first name so we know who you are.
And please! Remember, just because we're on the web, doesn't mean everyone else wants to be there. So use caution and respect when mentioning other people. My rule of thumb is not to use any one's last name. Although this site is "technically" not published in any search engines, it is still a website, which always makes it public." I guess I'd be less irritated if she just said, "My sister has a blog, and now I want to have a blog too."
That reminds me, I better email her and tell her that she better not be giving out my blog address to people without my permission. Because I don't need her crazy friends reading my personal business. I can always make it private if I have to, but I don't want to make it hard for the people I actually care about that are reading it to read it.
Now on to the Saturday holiday with my in-laws. That surprisingly, was not bad. Not bad at all. I think what made it more interesting than usual, was that she invited some neighbors/relatives of theirs that I really like. I'll call them L&B. L, the man, is so funny. He's very talkative, and he's not always actually funny, but the things that he says are funny, even if he's not trying to be. And B is just so nice (in a normal way). When I walked into the house, she greated us at the door, and before I could get a "hello" out, she said, "I just heard your good news! I'm so happy for you!" and gave me a big ole hug. (I think that's more than I've even received from my own MIL.) She even looked like she was ready to tear up. It was sort of nice to be greated that way. This couple was one of the first people I met when I came to "meet the parents" way back when DJ and I were still in that cutsie stage. They were the first people to make me really feel welcome. Their daughters are the same way too. DJ and I have met them for dinner a couple times and I would love to be "real friends" with them. Does it sound too desperate if I just come out and ask them that? "Can we be friends? I really like you girls, and would really like that." L&B being there, made the day go by much better, and we didn't even spend any time staring at the TV on mute.
I also FINALLY got to hold my nephew. He is now 8 weeks old. It's about damn time! Usually when I see him everyone else wants to hog him, and I just get annoyed by the people that don't just leave the poor kiddo alone. But my SIL wanted to eat, so I took him for her. Man that guy is heavy. He decided he didn't want to sit up anymore, so I adjusted so he could lay down, and he fell asleep. I was like, "YES! he didn't start screaming!" So I held him while she ate, and then when she was done, we put him down for his nap. Man! Was my arm sore! He's 12 pounds something now, so it's not like I was lifting a little light baby anymore.
DJ and I also saw Fred Claus. This is getting bad reviews (so I hear), but I thought it was pretty good for what it was. I'd recommend seeing it if you like that kind of movie.
But please! First Day of Snow
I finally got to spend this past weekend with my girlfriends in Ye Ole Cities. (I think I'm more excited about that then they were.) Although our weekend was quite a bit more mild than it normally is, it was still pretty fun for me. For the first time though, I was able to drive home without feeling like I was going to pass out from lack of sleep. I really miss living in a real city. I also miss being around people who don't talk about their tupperware sales, or the last purse party they were at.
On my way home, it started to snow. Only in this one town though. It was really sort of weird. I drove into a fog, then it turned into a flurry, then it was big fat flakes, and I could barely see the road. I drove for about 20 miles and it finally turned into rain. It was sort of neat. Although I absolutely hate the idea of the cold weather, it was pretty cool seeing the snow. Too bad we're going to have about 6 months of it.

State Fair Day!
This weekend was pretty busy for the man and me. Saturday we went to the county fair in town. A friend was racing motocross, so it was fun to watch. Sunday, I baked a turkey for lunch. It was YUMMY. Then, we had a pie and ice cream social that we helped out with. It was a lot of fun working with all the old ladies from the church. There were some girls there that were my age too, so we had some fun messing around with pies.
Then, after the pie social, DJ and I headed off to the State Fair in St. Paul. We stayed with my friend Jordan. It was fun seeing her, I haven't seen her in what feels like FOREVER! Then, when she left for work in the morning, DJ and I headed off to have some fun. We got there around 10:00am, and left around 8:00pm. Luckily, my friend Sarah and her family met up with us for a while while we went through a couple car booths. So it took me a little longer to get bored with all that crap than it normally would. Surprisingly, we actually enjoyed each other's company the whole time. Not a single, "I'm sick of you, get away." moment. This usually happens because he and I are totally different Fair going people. I have destinations, and don't want to waist time getting from one place to another, and he, well, he really doesn't care where he goes, or how he gets there. He also takes FOREVER to look at EVERYTHING. Here's THE food tally. I don't think I did as bad as I was expecting.
Me:
Blackberry Shake
Fried Pickles w/ Ranch
Chicken Kabob
Roasted Corn
DJ:
Chocolate Shake
Corn Dog
Fried Gator w/Gator Shaped Fries
Brownie
Seriously, that's all I can think of that we ate. So that's a little disappointing.
We got back to town at Midnight, and I had to get up at 5:00am to drive back to FM to get ready for work. I woke up with a sore throat, and today, I am admitting that I am sick. Apparently, running around the fair and not getting enough sleep really messes with your immune system. Bummer.

Potato Days!
I'm totally bummed. I have to be in the Big W this weekend because the county fair is in town, and I promised DJ we could partake in the festivities. Plus, his families church is being moved to a different area (They are merging with another church because there are not enough members.) and they are having an old fashioned ice cream social to raise money. (Which we get to help out with.) --Did you know that at an ice cream social, you have to make the ice cream and pies from scratch? No store bought stuff? Umm... Yeah, and of course, the men of the church came up with this idea, but the women of the church get stuck doing all the work. How many pies have I made? ZERO. Why? Because I'm CATHOLIC, and therefore I hold myself exempt. :o) just kidding. I just haven't made any yet. I suppose I will make a couple this weekend.
Anyhoo, ever since I have moved to this forsaken frozen tundra, I have heard of one thing that I thought would make me happy. It's even been featured on the Food Network. It's the Barnesville Potato Days! It's sounds like so much fun! Everything is centered around the potato. And really, who doesn't love potatoes?! French fries, curly fries, waffle fries, baked potatoes, dumplings... They also do a bunch of activities centered around the potato. I'm bummed that I have to miss it. Sniff sniff.

Today
I woke up this morning and was really loving my life. I'm not too sure why today would be any more "spunky" than any other Monday, but it is. I'm still really busy at the office, but I seem to think I'm getting things into check with the new project. Which is really helping. I was feeling pretty stressed for a while there. I had to start micro managing for a while, but I think it's paid off. People have stopped making up strange rumors about what they heard we are doing, and I have stopped hearing, "But I thought we were doing this..." in my meetings. For a while there, I thought I was managing high school girls. (Even though there are both men and women on my team.)
Want to hear an announcement? OK. Some of you have already heard. I started a part-time position with Macy's. There are a bunch of reasons for this. The top ones are as follows:
1. I feel like I'm broke all the time
2. I want money to spend without feeling guilty about spending it
3. I want to pay off some of my debt faster than I currently am
4. I actually miss retail
5. I miss the fashion world
The job seems very awesome so far. I'm working in Fine Jewelry, which means I don't have any cloths to fold, or hang, or clean out of fitting rooms. I also don't have to help anyone who has to do those things at the end of the night. I basically shut down my station, and then clock out. It rocks. It's just what I was looking for.
In Other News... Did I mention I was nominated Employee of the Month again? Yep. I was. By two people this time. My manager, and the manager over customer service. Do you think I got it? Nope. Someone in the warehouse got it. Who's ass do I have to kiss to actually win EOM?! Seriously? I was nominated once before, and now two people separately nominated me. How many times does that happen? Seriously. SERIOUSLY PEOPLE!
What else can I tell you? My friend Lisa is reading my blog these days. That's nice. I haven't seen her since my wedding. I miss her. Sigh. Memories... In the corner of my mind! Pretty water color memories! Of the way, we were.........

Weekend Update
I had a great weekend! (I know. Lately, it seems like that's all I say.) Friday, DJ and I rented a hotel in a nearby town and just hung out in the hot tub and pool. Saturday, we headed to the lake where his mom's sister, her daughter, and her daughter were already there. I love these cousins. The daughter's daughter is 9 but I swear she's going on 30. She's very smart, and very practical. I forget she's not as old as I think she is. The four of us went fishing and the fish were biting like crazy. At one time, DJ went to help the little girl with her fish, he had no bait on his hook, and a fish bit it while he was helping her. With no bait! He caught 3 fish that way. It was crazy. Then Sunday DJ and I just went off by ourselves, watched the NASCAR race up at the restaurant where they have a big screen TV, then floated around the lake on our floaties for the rest of the day. There was no wind so it was nice to not have to keep paddling to keep yourself in place. I got an iCube for my ipod so we had a soundtrack to our fabulous weekend too.
New Shows to Check Out:
Scott Biao is 45 and Single. Has anyone seen this show? I saw the first episode on Sunday morning. I was pretty good. He hires a life coach to help him figure out why he has issues with commitment and marriage. He has to confront his old girlfriends to find out what happened. Then, he gets together with 3 of his buddies to unwind. One of those buddies, I was surprised to see, is the big brother from the Wonder Years. (At least that's where I think this dude is from.) He seems to be the most grounded of all of Scott's buddies. I'd totally watch it more if I knew when it aired. Hey! Just checked vh1's schedule and you can catch the first 3 episodes tonight starting at 7:30pm EST. Rock on! (Which leads me into my next review.)
Rock of Love. Poor Bret Michaels. He's looking for love, and a mother for his young girls. (You know, positive role model types.) So what does he do? Creates a love show on Vh1 of course! That's exactly where I'd turn to find a good woman if I were a famous rock star from the 80's. I mean, come on, look what it did for Flavor Flav. (No, I don't watch that stupid show. I have standards you know.) The thing about this show that's so great for me, (after watching the first episode.) The body guard picks out 5 girls to kick out before they even enter the house. The funny thing is, the other girls don't catch on that he's picking the ugliest, trashed out girls, and you likely don't want to be in that group. All they care about is, "Why am I not getting picked? I want to get picked!" Then, after all the other girls go into the house, the remaining 5 are told they are going home. They don't even get to meet fancy pants Bret. The ghetto girls were pissed. The best part about this show, and what will keep me watching, is Bret's commentary. He's hilarious! And definitely not fooled by the hot siliconed twits. By the end of the show he had picked all the girls I would have picked to stick around. All but two anyway. And I'm convinced that on shows like this, they are forced to keep a couple idiots around to create that lovely "train wreck" recipe we all have grown to love (I use this term loosely.) on these types of shows. And your luck today is fabulous! You can catch the second installment of this show tonight as well! Right before Scott Bio at 6:30 pm EST. If you have time to do some research, try to catch the fist epi. It's hilarious! DJ and I had so much fun watching and laughing.
I haven't been this excited for a TV show since the last episode of Lost aired. I can't wait for it to be 6:30 now! Woo hoo!

It's Friday!
It's Friday! I'm so happy! This week has been so frickin' LONG. I was driving in to work with my windows down jamming to Maroon 5. It's 57 degrees out and feels great! It's been so hot lately, I haven't gone outside to do much all week. Can't wait to get to the lake.
Happy Friday Everyone!

Weekend Update
Well... What do you want to know?
First, the man met the fish this weekend. He reminded me that it's going to die some day. I told him that was fine. He doesn't seem to believe me. He thinks I'll have issues when it finally kicks the bucket. I can almost garuntee I won't. I've had many fish die on me in my day. It's not the same as when a warm fuzzy cuddly pet with lots of personality dies. Even though, I think Tredwell has a lot of personality. When you walk up to the bowl, he swims to the front and looks at you. I think he thinks that I'm his pet. He did challenge my eyeball the other day. Right now he's kickin' it in the fake grass.
We didn't make it to the Street Festival. But I'm OK with it. I would have wanted to buy something. So I guess it's better we didn't go. It's pretty hot here lately. Today it got up to 98 degrees. And the humidity is very high too. Yesterday we headed out to a place that has go-carts and mini golf. It was crazy hot, but it was still pretty fun. Then we went for a bike ride around the neighborhood. It's pretty fun biking around with DJ. We just biked through neighborhoods and judged other people's houses. (Found some that we would like too.)
Work is still pretty hectic. I don't know when it will slow down again, but I'm hoping soon. Friday my brain was just fried. I was in a meeting today, asked a question, and my co-worker said, "We talked about that on Friday. Remember?". My answer to him, "Umm...No. Not even vaguely."
On the WW front, I saw some serious action this past week regarding pound dropage. I'm not recording it because I only do that once a week, but I'm hoping that it actually stays away and doesn't fluctuate back up for one reason or another. One of them being I just ate a bowl of ice cream with fresh raspberries on top. Low Fat ice cream, but still. Food I probably didn't need to eat. But Damn it was good!
I've got some other things going on. But don't plan on talking about them anytime soon. Well, not today anyway. My readership is down anyway, so it's not like I'd be telling many people anyway. It's more a matter of laziness that I'm not writing about it.

Five-Hundred Fifity-Fifth Post
In honor of my 555th Post (It's actually been more, but I've deleted some old posts) I decided I should create some sort of customer banner instead of the same ole cookie cutter ones. I've found some interesting things that I can do to my blogger template, so I suspect, as usual, I'll be messing around with things every once in a while.
OK. On to the Weekend Update! This weekend was a pretty active weekend for us. DJ had one of his college buddies come into town, and when he’s in town, it’s a guaranteed crazy time. Friday night, one of the nearby towns was having their annual summer street dance. It was a long night. Apparently, there were some late night calls made to one particular hot single friend of min. (Sorry about that Jordan. If you wouldn't be so hot and friendly, maybe people wouldn't call you.)
On Saturday, we hung out with my cousin and his "Red Neck Yaght Club" friends. They are a group of about six or seven guys who all have sail boats. Pretty much, every weekend they come in to town and play on the lake all weekend long. This time, it was about twenty of us on the lake that I grew up on. Oh, let me remind you that it was over 100 degrees on Saturday. That’s pretty hot for here. Usually it’s around 80-something.
So we’re boating around the lake, and it only took about ten minutes before we decided it was really frickin’ hot. I think I sweat from areas of my body that I never even knew I could sweat from. After sailing for about 2 hours, we stopped at a sand island in the middle of the lake to swim. It was a pretty cool site. All the sail boats came into the island and beached themselves, then we just waded around in the water for a while. OK. We waded around for about 5 hours. The water felt so good, we didn’t want to get out.
Surprisingly, I am not burnt to a crip. Although my husband and his friend are. I actually, am sporting a very nice tan. Which is something I haven’t had since I moved out of Texas. I have to say, I could get used to this whole sailing and swimming ritual. After DJ sheds his sunburn, we’ll have to go out again.
Ahhh, this is the life! The three months of warmth make me feel like I have a charmed life. Even though I live in BFE USA. But then I'm slapped back into reality pretty quickly come October. Brrrr.

I have one more update. This girl at my office was giving away Beta Fish away. So I have a new pet. He meets my critera. Fuzzy that will never die, or a fish. Well...he's a fish so it worked out well. He's been swimming around his bowl ever since I put him in there. Looks like he's a pretty habby little guy. I've got to think of a good name. I'm thinking Kashi. What do you think?

Funny Story, Weekend Update & Other News
Some dude called into the radio station and told this story:
Dude: I came home a couple days ago and found my wife cheating on me in my own bed. I jumped on the guy intending to beat the crap out of him but instead, he kicked my ass. Knocked me out cold. I am having a hard time dealing with it, what should I do?
Radio guys: ha ha ha ha ha ha! Sorry to laugh dude! ha ha ha! I have to say your the first person who's caught his wife cheating and had his ass kicked by a naked guy all in the same day. ha ha ha!
I laughed so hard too, my eyes started to water. Just the image of some naked dude, likely with a dirty boner, crawling off his bitch and clocking some dude cold is funny. I picture it like a scene in a porno. (If I were to ever see a porno that is.... Even though I think that's too much plot for a porno....)
In other news, I had a great weekend! I spent the entire weekend at the lake. It was so nice out. Not too hot, and no bugs. (Very rare regarding the bugs.) I've got a great start to a great tan, and I realized something while floating on my floaty. My thighs are smaller, and my calves are looking better too. Of course, they are still jiggly (my thighs not my calves), but I really think they are smaller. I can't wait to measure myself in 13 days to find out. Maybe they just look smaller now that they aren't glow in the dark white. I have switched to wearing a one piece, so my stomach is still GID white. But I have come to the sad realization that I can't pull off a bikini anymore. sniff sniff. Even though, after seeing some of the whales on the beach this weekend, I have restored confidence that I'd still look pretty good. There was even a pregnant woman on the beach. Super pregnant. She was in a bikini. Had great tits. But I couldn't help but wonder...."Isn't that bad on your skin? And wouldn't that cause you to have worse stretch marks because you're tanning them?" I'm not sure. I'm going to see if I can find out that answer. Good for her for having the guts to wear a bikini. Even though it freaked me out, I'm proud of her. You go scantily clad prego woman on the beach!
In other news even yet, here is an article from the local newspaper about the IT Director of one of the departments where I work. I guess he and his wife are in pretty bad shape and it's all alcohol related. I wonder if there will be some consequences at the office? After all, he is a "Director". Shouldn't they be held to higher standards than just regular pee-ons? And I can't help but suspect, a regular pee-on would likely be canned immediately, no ifs, ands or butts. What do you think?

Weekend Update: Standoff with the Man
I forgot to mention in my last post. I have started a stand of with my man about food.
Saturday, he didn't plan on coming home until 5:00. So at 4:00 when I told him that I would make something and have it ready to eat when he got home, he told me he wouldn't have time to eat and that we could get something at the race. (Options there would be: hot dogs, hamburgers, beer, and something they call a walking taco -Snack size bag of Doritos opened on it's side, then lettuce and other crap thrown inside- never had one, they don't look or sound tasty to me.) So I politely said to my man, "Well, I'd prefer to eat something here so that I don't keep offsetting all the progress I've made with my weight all week by eating crap on the weekend." So he says to me, "Well, you can eat what you like, I'll be eating at the race." So then I say, calmly "Well, part of the reason I am here today, is to spend time with you. It would be nice if you eat with me. Plus, if you eat at the race, I'm just going to want what you're eating, and that won't help me." Well...I wound up eating alone. He ate himself a hotdog and a beer at the race, while I sipped on my spiked diet coke. His hot dog didn't even look good to me, and because I ate something low on the GI scale, I wasn't hungry again for the rest of the night. Go me.
