No She Din't!

I met my man for dinner last night so I had to record Grey's. I think this really proves my love for him, because it is totally possible that my old fashioned VCR's timer would not kick in and I could have missed the second episode. But that's not what I want to write about!

Disclaimer: Don't read if you haven't watched it yet because I'm going to spoil it.
I saw the last 20 minutes of the show, and was totally shocked that McSteamy was back! Holy crap. He was totally hot. I think I creamed my pants a little when he walked out in a towel. I was totally shocked. Was NOT expecting that AT ALL so early in the episode. It was greatness. Now I feel a little sorry for McDreamy, but think he deserves it for keeping her strung along. He should have nipped that relationship in the bud so second season ago!

I'm also totally in love with Fin. He's hot. But I think it think he's hot because it's frickin Chris O! He's so hot! That scene where he bring Izzy lunch, and Meredith is there. And he says he's not all that sensitive and he moves in for the kiss. His back and shoulder muscles totally turned me on. He's HOT. Of course, when McDreamy walked through the doors into the bar all...McDreamy like. That was hot too. He's HOT. If this show had them all sounding like the teacher from peanuts it'd still be a great show.

The men are hot in this show. I saw an interview with Alex, and he lifted his shirt to show his abs, and he's totally cut too. When are we going to get to see a good shot of him all wet and steamy in a towel? huh? When?!

Here are some blogs I found on abc.com's website.
Grey Matter - by the writers
Emerald City Bar - by the bartender
The Nurses Station - by the nurses

This one is something I found while surfing the web the other day. There are a lot of pop-ups, but they have some good information if you miss an episode, or want pics and bios and stuff.

Happy G Day #2!

Tonight is the second episode of Grey's! I'm sure it will prove to be better than the first. Tonight they get into the panty issue. Who's are they? Who put them there? We already know, but will they find out? The drama!j I really want Fin to tell Mer off. Do you think he will? Doubtful, but it'd be great if he did.

I think Chris O should be on his own show. He seems to do well in the TV show realm.

Last night while finishing up the hem of my latest creation, I watched 20/20 with Terri Irwin. I have never cried so much for someone I have never met. EVER! It's just all so sad. I don't know how she is ever going to get over it and continue on.

What about you? Are you watching anything good lately?

The Official Start of "Get off Me"

I learned something interesting yesterday from Charlie Gibson. Did you know that in the start of fall, when the leaves begin to change color and fall that it's not because the leaves are dying due to cold. It's because the tree is sending enzimes to the leaves telling them to "get off me".
Apparently, the tree tells the leaves to get off, and then slowly pushes them off. Of course, I don't have all the scientific information, but I did not realize that the leaves were being forced off the tree. Wow. That Charlie Gibson, he's so smart. Even smarter now that he's calling himself Charles.

Heres a little article on the topic.

I Almost Pissed My Pants on This One

I was reading through some random blogs, and ran across a guys post about this odd couple. I almost pissed my pants laughing so hard. My eyes are still watering, and I'm still laughing my ass off. Apparently these two have their own line of products and activities. The about us above reads: We are Pee & Poo. Escapees from the bathroom, we are entering the world on a journey filled with new adventures. Maybe we can stay with you for a while?
Umm. Ok, but only if you stay in my toilet bowl.
I'd totally buy these guys if they weren't sold in Euro. Maybe someone I know can get them for me as a birthday gift. I totally want them. They'd cheer me up any day man! For now I'll have to settle for a free wallpaper, and sending out some e-cards. So if your a friend of mine, you'll feel extra special when you get it in your inbox! ha ha ha! My stomache hurts from laughing so hard.

Seriously though. The poop stories I'm reminded of when I see these guys... I could go on for days! Ahhh... I'm so amused! I think I'll go take a poop now in their honor.

Pill Popping

I've become a pill popper again. I have serious problems with headaches. OK, I don't call them serious, but DJ thinks it's not normal. He made me go see a chiropractor back when I was in FTW and I was in heaven. I haven't had headache problems in a long time, I haven't been to a chiro in 2 years, but I've felt good, so I haven't taken the time to seek oen out. Lately they've started up again and I've been taking pills like mad. Nothing works. Yesterday I exceeded the daily dosage, and then decided to take a nap. I slept for an hour and a half, and then made myself get up and be productive. I thought it was gone, but when I stood up, there it was again. Such a pain in the ass. Actually head, but who cares. It's all just anoying.

There is a place out here that is asking for people to do medical studies on. I could make up to $2500 a study. I have thought about doing this, but what if they pump me full of something that jacks me up long term? That would suck. Or maybe it causes cancer later in life. So I guess the only way i'd do the study is if they gave me the placebo, but since they won't tell me which one I'm getting, I guess I better just not do it.

Man my head hurts!

Something I'd Like to Say Publicly

I have this friend. Some people think she needs to grow up a little, and be less wild and crazy because she's approaching her mid-twenties. I was going to send her an email to let her know that although she is crazy, she's definately not a drama queen, and I appreciate that. She's just the right amount of wild and crazy, and sometimes she pushes the emotional drama queen part, but don't we all every once in a while amongst out good friends?

Anyway. Just wanted to put it out there publicly, that although I too think she should slow down a certain aspect in her life (she knows what that is) I don't think she needs to worry too much about the other stuff because it'll settle down with time.

Love ya, no named friend-o-mine. Thanks for not tiring me out at a bar to the point of me feeling the neccessity to tell you off and leaving the party due to shear exhaustion. I may on occasion feel the need to peel you off of a discusting looking boy, but I can tolerate that. Plus it gives me something to laugh at you about later. tee hee hee.

One More Post This Morning

Ok. So turns out, I wasn't finished talking. Another thing happened this weekend. Dj and I have been looking at bikes. He asked me if I'd like a bike for my birthday. I said, I thought that'd be a good idea, and I'd like it. But then we started talking about how if he bought it for my birthday (November) that we wouldn't be able to play with it until next year. So then he brought up buying it now. Which sounds like a good idea because then we could at least play with it now until it starts to snow (About 2 weeks). But then I wouldn't have any gifts from my man on my birthday (the big three-oh). So how crappy would that be not to get a gift on such a big birthday? So now I don't know. Do I tell him I want the bike now or on my birthday?

I also had wanted to take a weekend trip to Duluth, and stay at a bed and breakfast for my birthday, so I'm thinking if he buys me a bike, we won't go on the trip.

What does everyone think? Opinions welcome here.

I've Finally Accepted It

My SIL invited me to meet them at a bar on Friday, so I decided to go. All was well until about 10:00 at night when the drama queens came out. And when I say that, I mean her and her boyfriend. These people have ISSUES. I think most of it is because they are young, and lets face it, were were all young and dumb at one point. Some of my friends are still in the young and dumb stage. But I have to say, that I don't ever remember breaking down in a bar and acting totally eradic. I think when I get drunk I just get louder and more fun. I think I've always been that way. After all, I have had several friends call me "wild drunk kb", so I guess if more than one friend from different circles says the same thing, it must be true! ha! Some people when they get drunk, pick fights. This would be people like my Dad and uncles, and my BIL (bro-in-law). Other's, usually girls, freak out, get depressed, and cry a lot. These are usually the people I disance myself from. I finally got so fed up with all the drama being had, that I had to leave.

I'm sparing ya'll the details because they are not interesting. However, I did finally accept my fate as an old married lady. I'm glad that my friends are past the phase of being stupid in public (for the most part, but at least to the extent that this was on Friday night). And I'm glad that I don't have to wonder what's going on in my man's head every five minutes. Because for the most part, I already know. And if my friends act stupid in public, it's usually still in good fun, and not something to make a major deal out of. Thank God for my low drama friends! Now if I can just stop getting older, I'd love my life!

Why Couldn't This Have Been Me?

Woman finds 1.3-carat diamond in a state park

MURFREESBORO, Ark. — A Tennessee woman whose husband predicted she wouldn't have any luck gem hunting at Arkansas' Crater of Diamonds State Park made a sparkling discovery: a 1.30-carat diamond.
"I wasn't expecting to find anything and was just picking up pretty rocks," said Melissa Lacey of Knoxville.
At first, she thought the light yellow diamond was "a piece of dirty quartz." After it was identified by park staff, Lacey said she couldn't wait to show it to her husband.

The diamond was the size of a piece of candy corn. The largest diamond ever discovered in the U.S. was unearthed here in 1924. Named the Uncle Sam, the white diamond weighed 40.23 carats.
A freshly dug trench was opened to the public on Saturday. Soil from the trench was spread out over parts of the diamond field. Lacey found her diamond there Thursday.
The Crater of Diamonds State Park is the world's only publicly operated diamond site where the public is allowed to search and keep any gems found, regardless of their value.

So does anyone want to go to this park and search with me? See you next weekend maybe?

Great Idea!

I just came up with a really cute idea for my website (that no one has seen yet) but I totally don't have the ability to do it. I wish I knew someone who was a good graphic designer. If you know anyone, please send them my way. Oh, they have to want to volunteer to do this for me because I'm poor. :o) but it'd be totally cool if I could do it. Well, totally cool to me. Maybe not everyone who'd visit my website.

In other news. Grey's was good last night, but what really was great was the premiere of The Office. Did you see it? Michael outs Oscar. He then calls a meeting with everyone where he kisses Oscar to prove that you can't get anything from Gays. ha! It was painfully funny!

Happy G Day!

Exactly 3 hours 52 minutes until the premiere of Grey's Anatomy.

Ahhh Massages are Grand

I just got finished with my massage. This by far has to be the greatest perk a company has EVER provided! They pay for 1/2 of it. I had a headache, but now it's gone, and I'm so relaxed. I feel great!

So what about you? What's the coolest perk your company provides you?

The Wait is Over!

In aproximately 22 hours I will be watching the season premier of Grey's Anatomy. I will also be recording it so that my poor SIL can watch it later because she is such a low life, that she has to work. ha ha ha! (Obviously I'm just kidding. I love her)

I'm sitting here scrapbooking, and watching the season finale. It's going to be good people! I suggest you tune in!

How Cold is it Where Your At?

It's 46 right now where I am. Can you beat that? Oh, it's also raining.

Tonight I get to drive 82 miles to my hubby. He has a shin-dig with some landlords that he rents land from. Should be boring, but at least we'll be social. I think I'll bring my work outfit for tomorrow with me so I can spend the night (mmm mmm gotta get me some, gotta get me some, gotta get me some - Toby Keith Song).

Saw a good movie this weekend on Netflix. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I suggest you see it. Clever, and who wouldn't love Val Kilmer playing a gay detective named Gay Perry. (Get it?) It's stuff like that through the whole movie that make it worth while.

TTFN, sorry not an interesting post.

BTW, do you know the rules of ha? Here they are:
ha = oh, that's just funny.
ha ha = wow, that's really funny
ha ha ha = I'm laughing out loud in my cube!
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah, infinity = That's so fucking hilarious I can't stop laughing, my eye's are crying, and my co-workers think I'm nuts.

So next time you IM me, you know where you stand. :o)

Music Sucks Up Here

It's not really a surprise that the radio stations up here suck, but I didn't realize how badly they did. When I was in Minneapolis, the radio stations sucked more on a "radio personality" level than they did on the music level. Now that I am in FM they radio stations just all around suck.
I have been listening to a Dallas Morning Show (Lex & Terry) on the alternative station in the morning. Then I discovered that I am suddenly unblocked from streaming radio online. So I started listening to my beloved KKITM. I have been listening after the show to, just to the regular music radio shows. I had no idea that the music up here was so bad that I was really missing out on the world. THE WORLD! I have heard so much good new music that I didn't even know was out there! I totally miss being a part of the real world instead of this podunkville land they call a city. I have been writing down music and artists that I need to download on iTunes when I get home.

Don't Call Me Lame

But I think this is totally a cool idea.

http://www.bendshire.com/index.php?p=4&side=select

Don't make fun of me either.

I Like My Friends

I just had a hilarious conversion on IM with a friend of mine. She is hilarious. Well, I guess that's implied by my first sentence... Anyway. If I repeated any of our converstion none of you would think it was funny but me, and maybe her, but I have to say, our conversation has totally pulled me out of the darkness for a while. I totally love the people I consider to be my closest friends. They are great. You know who you are.

Then she ditched me. Bitch.

Shopping Revelations

I just got back from shopping at what they call a mall here in town. I went there because in order for me to get my new Macy's card, I have to go to the store and use my old Foley's card. Once it shows that I'm active again, they'll issue me a Macy's card. (My Foley's card has been inactive for 2 years since the only place I can use it is down south.)

Anyway. I didn't find a single thing I wanted to buy in Macy's. So then I went to Herberger's which is a department store up here that I usually don't find anything in either. So wasn't too shocked when I didn't find anything in there. So it hit me. I don't think I'm a department store shopper anymore. I think I've gotten so old (or is the word mature), that I have moved on to specialty stores. Hopefully, this means my taste has gotten better, but who really knows.

On the other hand, I found tons of stuff at New York & Co, Limited, and Vanity. (That's about as sophisticated as they get around here.) Didn't buy anything. But wanted for much. I'll have to grab my coupon for NY&Co and return again soon.

So the only money I spent at the mall was $5 at this really awesome cajun place in the food court. MMMMMMM Mouth burning, but don't care. mmmmm

So where are you guys and gals shopping these days?

Cool Video

I have to say, this is totally cool. It's a time lapse video comprised of many still shots of the Reno Balloon Fiesta.

Of course, the Albuququerque Balloon Fiesta is much MUCH Better.

Check it out at www.balloonfiesta.com

I'll be there for the second weekend of fun!

I Did Something Rather Embarrassing

Rarely do I do something that is totally embarrassing. Usually when I do dumb things, I accept as "That's just how I roll man!" Yesterday was a rare exception. Imagine if you will, a somewhat attractive young woman sitting at her desk, becoming increasingly annoyed by the rattle coming from the ceiling. This woman, at wits end, decides to climb up onto her desk, to move things around to stop the noise. On the way back down, she thinks, "I probably shouldn't try to get back on my rolling chair to get down." So instead, she uses the chair to steady herself as she jumps to the floor. What happened? Chair goes rolling away, woman hits the wall, then rolls over the chair onto the ground, as things in her cube go tumbling after her.

Since I realize how stupid I was, I hop up like nothing happened as everyone is running toward my cube to see what the hell just happened! So I'm picking things up, hair all frazzled, telling everyone I'm fine. But really, the back of my right thigh where I landed on my chair is burning, and I think I could possibly be bleeding. My left knee is also killing me because that one landed somewhere on the chair as well. After sitting at my desk for a while, I decided to hobble as best I could to the bathroom to see if there was any bleeding. Well, there wasn't thank goodness, but my legs really hurt. Last night I kept crossing my legs and causing myself pain. Today I am bruised, but luckily not as bad as I thought I was going to bruise.

It was so embarrassing. I don't know what I was thinking.

Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning?

Last night as I returned home to my empty townhome, I started thinking about what I'd blog about today. I know many people are tired of hearing about September 11, and the war that has drawn out for too long. Then I thought that I'd mention something, but not make it consume my entry. So as not to "offend" anyone. I also feel that I made this decision to shield my own emotions of today.

This morning I came in to work, and two of my lady coworkers were already here. I sat down at my desk after making the normal morning greetings, and proceeded to run my morning reports. While waiting for my reports to run, I started watching/listening to CNN's broadcast of 9/11 in real time. Headphones on. Just as I am watching the second plane hit the second building I overhear my coworkers talking about how the Bushes and the Clintons are both at ground zero asking for a moment of silence. Then I hear snide selfish, bitchy, and rude comments come out of one of the lady's mouths about "How about a moment of silence every time a coffin comes home." and other bitchy things. Well, although I understand her anger with the many that have died protecting our freedom. But I don't appreciated her inability to think outside herself and have some courtesy and respect for those who are in morning right now of all those loved ones. The Bushes and the Clintons are doing what they feel is right to honor and respect those that died, and the loved ones that are still living. As this war continues, Americans are getting more and more selfish and selfcentered. It is a necessity for all American's to respect one another in this time of grieving and sorrow. Any way an American chooses to remember, commemorate, or show their respect is their choice, and should so be honored. Bush is doing what he can on this day, to show his respect, and even if you don't agree with what is happening today, those efforts should be respected.

I hope no one forgets where they were and how they felt on September 11 when these events unfolded. I feel that it is necessary for all those who are self centered, self richeous, uninformed, ambiguous, to use this day to humble themselves to the world, and realize that the world is a very large place, and life, God, and the repercussions of our actions are much larger than any of us and are much larger than one single day. I hope that people use today, not only as a day to morn, but also as a day to remind them to do whatever they can to make a difference in this world.

No man/woman is exempt from anything. Disease, war, death.
No man/woman is better than any other man/woman no matter education, religion, geographic location, or color.

So True

Uninstalls

A couple days ago I uninstalled a couple Word Perfect programs on my computer that I don't use, that were trial programs that came with my computer. Ever since then, when I turn my computer on, my Install Wizard trays to install Word Perfect 12, and asks me for the disk.

What's up wit dat? I uninstalled it for a reason. And, it's not like I can just click cancel and go on my merry way. The Install Wizard keeps popping up. It only goes away when I go into my Task Manager and close it out in there.

Are any of you tech geeks that can help me? Has this happened to anyone else out there? I guess today when I have nothing to do, I'll be researching this issue online. >:o$ It's so annoying.

In Need of Some Creative Juices

For some of my readers this will be a repeat of the email I sent out. After I sent the email, I thought maybe I should open it up to my blogger buddies.

So here is what I am hoping you can help me with. I am trying to decide on a catchy name for my personal website. As you may or may not know it's hard to get a good simple .com URL these days. So I thought I'd ask my fellow bloggers what they had for creative thoughts on the topic.

What it's for:
I plan to use this site for a long time. It is going to be for family use, probably starting out with me and my husband, and probably turn into a site to use as a larger family tool down the road. So I'd like the name to be clean, catchy, and make sense for me and my family.

What it'll be:
Mainly a family blog forum with photo albums, and other goodies you'll just have to tune in to to see.

Here are the rules:
1. Like I said. Clean (no www.assmonkey911.com)
2. Hopefully easy to remember
3. Depicting of me and my family
4. Not so common that people are going to mistake the site for something else (like
assmonkey.com)
5. I don't want to use my name
6. I don't want it to be associated with clubkb (because this is just for friends
and strangers)

So let me know what you've got for ideas! Because mine are shot!

Thanks for the help in advance!

My Pregnant Friends Are Breaking Me!

I just spent $71 at target shopping for baby presents for two of my prego friends! Well, 1 1/2 presents. And, to be fair, I bought a pair of pants for myself for $15. But still, that's a lot of fricking money I'm spending on my friends babies! I'm starting to feel like Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City when she registers herself at the shoe store because she is marrying herself just to get her friend to buy her the pair of shoes that were stolen from her house while attending a baby shower.

All I have to say, is that these friends better still be around by the time I have babies, because they owe me! Big time! Yeah Blac I'm talkin' bout you too! Little miss I have 3 babies now. Don't you realize how broke you make me? :o) Just kidding. If I know I'll be paid back in full with gifts and love for my kids, it'll be from my friend Blac. So she's sort of exempt from my rant. I was just shocked when I heard the final bill because I hadn't bought that much. Believe me that wrapping paper and other crap to make the packages pretty adds up!

I did get an idea on the way back to the office though. I forgot to buy cards. Noone cares about the cards anyway, which is why I always forget them. So I decided I am going to make my own cute little cards/tag to label the gifts with instead. If they turn out cute that is. Otherwise I'm not forking out more money just for a card. Call me cheap if you must, but I know noone cares about the card so why spend a bunch of money on them.

Monday Blahs, on Tuesday

It's only 11:19 am on Tuesday and I'm already ready for the weekend. I've been noticing that I don't want to be in the office much these days. I don't think it has anything to do with my job really. I just find myself wanting to work out of my house, and make my own hours. (Even though I have no idea what I'd like to do out of my house.) Plus, I have so much going on outside of work right now, I'd rather be working on my own projects. I am even starting to feel like, be prepared to gasp, maybe not working at all. (The horror I know) Then I could really do whatever my own agenda leads me to do.

I guess the big reason I haven't put much effort into deciding what I want to do (even though my list of options is growing) is the fear that I might not be successful in it. Which would really suck. Plus, then I couldn't pass the blame off like I could in corporate. Even though I don't do that now, nor do I think I ever would. But I like the idea that I could should I feel the need. I'm also not a big wig so anything that happens in this place really doesn't get blamed on me anyway.
One project I am working on currently is scrapbooking tons and tons of photos that I've collected over the years. It first started out with me wanting to just narrate and put my feelings, etc in with the photos. Then I decided that I really liked some of the things I've seen with all the scrapbooking crap going on right now. So now I've joined the ranks of millions of scrapbooker freaks around the world. I still don't think I'm to the uber freaky caliber yet. I think I haven't even made it to freaky. I don't want my pages to look like a 3rd grade craft project, but I do want them to be classic and clean and fun to look through for people when I'm no longer around. Maybe I'm just a mini freak.

Basically all this came about because I still have not scrapbooked the photos from my wedding. You know, all those photos that friends and family share with you that you would not have had otherwise. Then I decided I wanted to keep some trinkets and things I had that mattered to me at the time as well. I still have not scrapbooked my wedding photos, but I've done several other people's weddings, as well as other sets of photos that needed it. I think I am almost ready to work on my wedding photos though. I've got a new printer, bought the program I've been wanting for graphic design, and have built up a good arsenal of papers and accessories to go with my wedding theme.

If you're lucky, maybe I'll post a couple of my favorite pages so far.
If you're really lucky, I won't make this a topic of too many future blogs!

Stever Irwin Shocker!

Was anyone else totally shocked when they heard the news about Steve Irwin yesterday?!

It's completely sureal. Obviously, I didn't know the guy, so it's surprising to me that it bothered me so much. It was just a shocker!

My SIL Talks in Her Sleep

My SIL has been staying with me for a couple of days while she's homeless and waiting for her new apartment to be ready. This will be her first apartment by herself, no roommates. It's just down the street from me, so I'm pretty excited. We will be able to excersize together and stuff. Plus just hang out. We're already planning on having a Grey's Anatomy watching party.

Anyway. This morning I woke up because I heard voices. I thought they were in my house. So I listened for a while wondering if my SIL was up and watching TV. Or maybe she fell asleep and the TV was still on. Then it sounded a little more muffled, so I thought it might be my neighbors up and about already.

So then I kept hearing it, and I had to put in my earplugs so I could fall back asleep. I got up at 6:15, and heard it as soon as I took out my plugs. So I walk down my hall into the bathroom, and I hear my SIL. She's been talking in her sleep for at least an hour and a half! At like full voice! Her door was closed, my door was closed, and I could still hear her. It was hilarious! I was too tired, and in a little bit of a hurry to get read for work, or else I would have eavesdropped and tried to find out what she was saying. I can't believe that she can talk in her sleep for that long of time! Usually if a person talks in their sleep it's only a couple incoherent words. Or at least in my expierience that's been the case. My highschool best friend used to talk in her sleep from time to time, and that is what she used to do. Just mumble something weird enough to freak me out.

So now I'm thinking that I feel sorry for her boyfriend because if she has these long convos in her sleep, he probably doesn't get much sleep! ha!
